COVID-19 threw this country and economy in a tailspin. A lot of outstanding sales talent was let go due to the circumstances. But there will be a hiring surge. The unemployment numbers for August were better than expected, and the stock market continues to surge. Many states are almost entirely back open, and some states are open to some capacity or have started lifting restrictions. Football is being played in most states. Now is the time to start speaking with top talent, even if you don’t have a current opening, and build a bench of Rockstar player talent. If you wait too long before you start talking to people, the hiring surge could be on, and you will be left with a war for talent. This can lead to poor hiring decisions, leaving revenue-producing positions open for too long. It’s okay to reach out to a candidate and say, “I don’t have a position open currently, but I like your background and would like to speak with you. When things open back up, you will be much further along in the process.” Candidates will appreciate your honesty. What is your plan for hiring top sales talent in Q4? #sales #hiring #recruiting
